We have an amazing opportunity to truly impact the lives of the children and adults of the Harlem Heights community. The Heights Foundation is working as Project Coordinator to facilitate the design, construction, and operation of a Community and Cultural Arts Center in Harlem Heights. The 14,000 sq ft Community Center will be located on Hagie Drive (off of Gladiolus Drive), on a five acre parcel gifted to us by an anonymous donor. Once built, Lee County Parks & Recreation will operate and maintain the Community Center in partnership with The Heights Foundation and the Harlem Heights Improvement Association.

Upon completion, The Community Center’s Education Center and Performing Arts Hall will offer the following:

The Heights Foundation successfully wrote a grant to receive Community Block Grant Funding ($240,000) to cover the “soft costs” of the project: architectural and engineering fees, rezoning, development order, and permitting and impact fees.

The estimated construction cost of the Community Center is over $4 million.
“WE’RE ON A MISSION” to raise those funds.
