SUMMER CAMP
Children are sponsored to an 8 week day-camp in their neighborhood run by Lee County Parks & Recreation. Many of the children would otherwise be home alone while their parents work. At-risk adolescents who attend summer camps and have shown better performance in school, as evidenced by higher grades, fewer absences, days tardy and detentions, according to a recent study conducted by Perpetuity Research and Consultancy International Ltd. A donation of $250 sponsors a child for the summer.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Sponsorships provide more than 275 children with school supplies and backpacks each school year. With a $40 donation, you can provide a student with these necessary tools to start the new year.

LITTLE LEAGUE
Sponsorships provide an opportunity for young boys to learn the sport of baseball, as well as discipline, sportsmanship and team participation. This wholesome activity instills values that guide children into adulthood. A donation of $200 pays for a boy's registration and needed equipment.

SCOUTS
The Heights Foundation sponsors a Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack that meets in Harlem Heights. These programs offer young people responsible entertainment and adventure, developing ethical character and instilling lifetime values of citizenship, service and leadership. According to Boy Scouts of America, 83 percent of men who were Scouts during their youth agree that the values learned through Scouting are important to them today. You can sponsor a Scout for $200 per year, providing that child with a book, t-shirt and sash, and other required materials.

CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP
The Heights Foundation sponsors children from the Harlem Heights community to attend private Christian schools. These scholarships encourage students to reach their potential and achieve scholastically in a faith-based setting. Donations of $1200
per year supplements a child's tuition, uniforms, lunches and after-school cost.
